Having no Opinion

The best thing about social media is how it constantly tests your discipline. Even if you unfollow or hide stuff you don’t like, something will almost always pop up. Here’s the thing:

  1. You don’t have to respond.
  2. You don’t have to react.

Just let the post be what it is. A similar example is to let the weather be the weather. You don’t need to have an opinion about it.

You always own the option of having no opinion

Marcus Aureilus

Marcus Aurelius

“You always own the option of having no opinion. There is never any need to get worked up or to trouble your soul about things you can’t control. These things are not asking to be judged by you. Leave them alone.” – Marcus Aurelius

Marcus Aurelius – Philosopher Emperor

You are Responsible

You are responsible for what you allow yourself to get upset about. We can’t always control external factors, but we can always control how we respond or react to them.

Epictetus

“If someone succeeds in provoking you, realize that your mind is complicit in the provocation.” – Epictetus

Epictetus – LIFE CHANGING Quotes – STOICISM
